Text messages from Wisdom Circle
Wisdom Circle is a story keeping and daily companion app for older adults and their families. Members can choose to get a few account notification texts from Wisdom Circle. This page explains what those texts are, how a member turns them on, and how to stop them. Texts are never required to use Wisdom Circle, and no marketing is sent by text.
How a member turns texts on
- Create a Wisdom Circle account on the web or in the app and sign in.
- Add your own mobile number on Profile, under My phone number.
- On Preferences, turn on "Text messages from Wisdom Circle". It stays off until you turn it on. Save, and a confirmation text arrives at your number.

By turning this on, you agree to receive account notification text messages from Wisdom Circle at the mobile number on your Profile: an evening check-in reminder on days your Circle has not heard from you, the reminders you set on My Reminders, and requests from your family and your circles. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel. Agreeing is not a condition of using Wisdom Circle.

What the texts are
- An evening check-in reminder on days your Circle has not heard from you.
- The reminders you set on My Reminders, when you also ask for a text.
- Requests from your family and your circles, such as a family member asking to connect.
- One invitation link, sent only when a member types a family member's number and taps Send. Nothing further goes to that number unless the person joins and turns texts on.
Frequency, rates, help and stopping
- Message frequency varies with the reminders you set.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply HELP to any text for help, email info@sagecollective.org, or call (312) 847-1886.
- Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or turn the setting off in Preferences. You get one confirmation that you are unsubscribed, then nothing more.
Your number and your consent
We keep your mobile number, the fact that you said yes and when, and which texts we sent you, so we can honor your choice. We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or your text messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
